The hunting farm is situated 1750 meters above sea level on a plateau near Windhoek.
The hunting area is a particularly scenically area and the terrain ranges from grassy valleys to rolling rocky hills and ridges.
The hilly landscape provides excellent and exciting hunting opportunities, as well as ample cover for the many species of wildlife. Mecklenburg is ideally located for hunting Kudu and is in the original home area for Hartebeest as well as Oryx antelope.

Mecklenburg was established 1916, and is operating since 1970 as a hunting farm. This, more than 10 000ha family-owned farm is in its 3rd generation and currently under the expert eye of the owner and Master Hunting Guide Hans Christian Denk, one of the top experienced Namibian outfitters.
Centrally located in Namibia, only 50 km from the Int. Airport (Hosea Kutako Int Airport), with less than one hour to your final destination, where you will be hunting in a most scenic surrounding with abundant game and antelopes.

FAQ
You don’t need any hunting license to hunt in Namibia. For trophy hunting, your Master Hunting Guide will obtain a valid hunting permit from Nature Conservation prior to your arrival.
A special permit is required to hunt Leopards, Cheetahs, or Brown Hyenas. For this permit, we need a copy of your valid passport. Please get in touch with us early enough to apply for these permits.
Yes, you can. If you want to enter Namibia with a rifle, you must complete a temporary import permit application form. You must send it in advance via e-mail to firearmairport@nampol.na. We strongly recommend a minimum caliber of 30.06.
A maximum of one hundred (100) rounds of ammunition may be imported per hunting rifle.
The Namibian Trophy Hunting season opens on February 1 and closes on November 30 of each year.
Normally the best month for hunting in Namibia are May – September depending on the seasonal rainfall which can differ.
